Are children welcome in worship and is there childcare available?

We believe children are gifts from God. Squirming children and
crying babies are signs of God’s creative love and having them in
worship is a reminder of God’s love and grace.
We welcome children of all ages in our worship services.
For those parents desiring childcare, we have a nursery for all services and during Sunday School.
Sunday School is offered for all children ages 2 and up
at 9:30 am. The nursery is available for children under 2.

For children in the 1st through 5th grades we provide Children's Church on the 1st, 3rd and 4th Sunday mornings and on the 2nd Sunday of each month the children remain in the worship service for Holy Communion.

For more information about the classes and their locations, speak with one of the greeters in the foyer on Sunday morning. They would be happy to show you the way!

Where do I park and is there handicap accessibility?

There is handicap and visitor parking located outside our Sanctuary. The Sanctuary is wheelchair accessible.

How should I dress for church?

There is no dress code for worship. We want you to come as you are. At most worship services you will see folks dressed in anything from blue jeans to suits and dresses.

What exactly is Sunday School?

Sunday School describes the hour on Sunday morning devoted to small group Bible study. At Smyrna, from 9:30-10:30, there are a variety of small group opportunities for children and adults alike. Children's classes engage kids with age appropriate lessons, activities and games designed to share God’s love as it is revealed through the stories of scripture.

Do I have to stand up or be recognized in church?

No, we do not put visitors on the spot. When you come to our church, you will be greeted and welcomed, but never embarrassed or made to feel uncomfortable. We will give you a card which will ask your name, address and other information so we can get in touch with you and get to know you better.

What if I have a question that is not answered here?

We hope that we have included information that will help you but we may have missed something. If you have any questions at all, please call the church office at (678) 468-5672 or E-mail us at nazarenechurch@bellsouth.net
